Training & Professional Development

I bring a strong foundation in education, but what really fuels my work is a deep interest in how people learn, grow, and make real change. I’ve continued to train in approaches that help me support clients in practical, respectful, and research-backed ways.

Here’s a snapshot of what I’ve studied:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
I’ve completed over 30 hours of CBT training through the Feeling Good Institute and the Beck Institute, including:

    • CBT for Anxiety

    • CBT for Healthier Habits

    • Level 1 training with Dr. David Burns
These tools help me support clients in noticing thought patterns that get in the way and building more helpful habits and perspectives.

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
MI is at the heart of how I work—with collaboration, not pressure. I’ve taken multiple online MI courses and continue to grow my skills through weekly practice seminars led by Dr. Sky Kershner.
I use MI to help clients tap into their own motivation and choose goals that feel meaningful to them.

  • Executive Function (EF) Skills
I regularly attend webinars and workshops focused on executive function coaching, staying up to date on what really helps people build structure, focus, and follow-through.
I especially enjoy working with clients with ADHD, helping them create systems that feel realistic and doable.
